I am comparing Winslow Homer, The Gulf Stream and Kerry James Marshall, Gulf Stream. I have never seen these artworks before. I am also not familiar with these artist so I'm not sure the fame of them. These artworks are similar because they both have boats, the titles are similar, waves, and it looks pretty windy. I think Kerry James Marshall was inspired by Winslow Homer because of all the similarities This is an example of good theft because he added his own things to the art like the birds, more people, mountains, made the colors more vibrant, and netting around the outside.

I have 2 ideas but I am going to go with the first one it is Lazy Smurf but he is magical. 2 studio habits- observe because I did an observational drawing with my hydroflask. The second studio habit I used was stretch and explore because I had to come up with new ideas and do some research.
The first thing I worked on is observing. The thing that stands out on my artwork is the red on Tweety because he is yellow so it just looks good together. I liked using colored pencils for this artwork so that it is easy to make the shade lighter or darker. The second studio habit I worked on was engage and persist. I'd say I was engaged the whole hour when I was making Tweety. I usually stay focused on something when I have ideas and I want to finish it. Today Kloe left and I am kind of sad but I will do my best to stay focused.
In painting bootcamp I observed by looking at the object I was painting. I had to look closely for small details. Then I applied what I saw to the painting. The second thing I used was develop craft. I didn't learn anything new when sketching but I feel like I got better at it just by looking at the details. I worked on getting better at sketching. I am going to describe the duck. It is yellow with big blue eyes and orange beak. It's very cute in my opinion. I first drew with pencil the outline then I painted and added detail to it. I just picked something out of a box to copy and that and the frog is what I chose. My goals for this was to try to make it look just like the rubber duck. I actually think it turned out really good and I like it. I think I am kinda good at art. I hope to learn new techniques. A risk I will take is trying new things that I am not comfortable with. My goals is to do my best this semester and make something I could put in my room.
