My artwork is of a butterfly and one side of the wings is pink with a cool design and on the other side is purple, light pink and dark pink flowers and green leaves. The other paintings are of the same colored flowers as the butterfly and also leaves. They are all outlined in white so they stand out. I created these by using a q tip to make the middle of the flowers then just painting the petals. For the butterfly wing I painted it and then made a ombre type of thing on the tips and just used a white acrylic pen to make some lines to add more detail. The big idea was going to be 3 different types of flowers and butterflies but with the limited time I had I just decided to do something more simple but I'm so glad I did because I absolutely love the way it turned out and it looks so great together. My goal was to make something I can hang in my room. My overall thoughts are I LOVE THIS and I am so happy with the way it turned out and I wouldn't change anything, it looks so cute in my room.

My best artwork was my butterfly because I think it looks so pretty and it took me a lot of time to get it as neat as possible. An artwork I would redo would be the one of my cat because I don't really like the background. In art class I learned how to fix mistakes I make and turn it into something nice. One thing I wish we could have done this semester is using different materials such as a palette knife.
so my plan for this art unit is to do butterflies and flowers as the theme and kind of use the same colors also for the last picture, one side of the wing will be all flowers not just a couple. 2 studio habits I used today were envision and express. I used envision because I had to make sketches of everything. I used express because I LOVE flowers and butterflies.
My artwork is of my cat Butters. he is a big orange cat. He has a white and orange striped tail. He has really big bright green eyes and a pink cowboy hat which he didn't seem to excited to wear. The background is white, grey and a little black. I created my artwork by first doing the background then sketching him out and then painting and trying to add as much detail as I could. I also forgot to take pictures so that's why there is only 3 :( With the first sketch I started painting and realized I didn't like how it turned out so I redid it and I like it more now so I'm glad I restarted. The idea for my artwork was that I really like Butters and I thought this picture was so funny so I wanted to paint it. I gave it to my brother to put in our shop where he has parties because everytime he has parties, Butters goes out there and everybody just loves him because he is such a friendly cat and loves attention, so we put the painting out there. My goals for this was trying to make him look as realistic as possible I watched so many videos about how to draw the fur on him but it just didn't turn out that realistic. My thoughts are that I like this artwork but it definitely could be better. Maybe when I get better at painting I will recreate this. I still like it though and I'd say it turned out pretty good. Here is a picture of my cat Butters and the really bad sketch I did. Today I used observe because I had a reference photo and tried my best to make it look like that. I also used envision because now that I have my sketch I can begin painting on a canvas.
MARCELLO BARENGHI Some techniques he used for making the cup is he puts a clear sheet over his drawing and cuts it to fit around the drawing. Then he uses an airbrush to make the shadow. Then he takes off the clear sheet. Then he traces over the lines on the object and fills in the empty spaces to make it look more realistic. And lastly he dries it and writes his signature. These techniques make his drawings look sooo real. STAKEOUT
for my observational drawing I drew my teddy bear This is the best case of appropriation because he took something simple and duplicated it and made it bigger. I don't understand why there was lawsuits against him because he did make it his own. This artwork is the worst case of appropriation
in my opinion because he literally bought it and turned it on the side then wrote his signature on it. He didn't change anything about the object itself so I do not think this was appropriation. A studio habit I used today was express because I expressed my daily life and the senses I use. The other studio habit I used was develop craft because I made pictures for each word.
1. He borrowed and reinterpreted and made it his own by unifying the color palette and simplifying the background. He also made it 4 feet tall and about 5 feet wide.
2. They borrow something from someone else’s artwork but then change it so it’s not copying. 3. People believe in his prediction because online you can make videos, music, post pictures, and comments that could get you famous. |
